Karen Kozojet Ching

??Karen Kozojet Ching's evolving style is a fusion of impressionism and abstract expressionism. Her landscapes evoke a transitional aura of representational imagery with a contemporary flair. The expressionistic brushstrokes dance across the canvas in a rhythmic burst of color. The luminosity is achieved through a series of transparent glazes. She adds textural elements with palette knife, sgraffito, impasto, drips, spatter, collage and iridescent and metallic paints. The Fairfax Station, Virginia artist creates her mixed-media work on gallery wrapped canvas. “Creating a work of beauty from a blank canvas lifts the spirit and transcends the mind. Painting an image that shares awestruck moments with the viewer is my lifelong passion. The joy is in captivating their attention and enabling them to make the experience their own.”
