Creek in April
11 x 14 in
Framed under non-reflective museum quality glass. The painting is set under spacers in order to keep the glass raised. The stained wood frame is handmade with lovely cut details along with a thin beveled edge painted silver. Each frame is unique to the piece.
This was a demo painted at Gallery Flux. I like this part of the Totpotomoy Creek the best and do a lot of painting there. The demo was to show my method of painting, as well as using a lighter and cooler palette for the spring colors. I also stressed being consistent with cool shadows and warm light and how mauve has the ability to temper an abundance of green.
