Light Over the Bank
7 x 13.5 in
Framed under non-reflective museum quality glass. The painting is set under spacers in order to keep the glass raised. The stained wood frame is handmade with lovely cut details along with a thin beveled edge painted silver. Each frame is unique to the piece.
This started out as a vertical painting. After struggling with the upper two-thirds for quite awhile, I decided to cut it off. While I hate to just give up and crop, what I was really interested in was the sunlight streaming over the bank and striking the rocks. It’s a reminder that I can’t include everything that is interesting, but to focus on what is most important.
